If I am going on a 15 day trip to Germany, how much money should I bring?

Alot. Probably a couple of thousand dollars in cash. Then use some traveller's checks and debit and credit cards. Plan ahead in case your money and income sources are stolen. Make sure you have numbers handy to call in case you are ripped off. You can also check on traveller's insurance in case your money and personal property are lost or stolen. After that, do some research on the local beers and have fun. Wish I was going.

It depends where you are going and where you are staying on what basis, ie. do you have bed and breakfast only or full board or half board?

What I usually do is do some research online before I go, I search for the place I'm going to and look at restaurants/cafes etc. to see how much the menus are on average, check out the prizes of the attractions that I intend to do so and budget accordingly, it gives you a good idea of what you need to bring, plus it's fun to plan your trip. I usually then add a little extra for emergencies and souvenirs and that's how I arrive at my budget.
