If I am going to Dubai to study will i be able to wear a thobe without trouble?

Im an American but I have have middle eastern ancestry and I look similar to arabs and I wanted to know if I currently am not fluent in arabic but in a little bit i will be going to study in dubai, will i be able to wear the middle eastern thobe over there? and i wanted to know if anyone knew how the local UAE citizens feel about foreigners wearing thobes there, because my main goal is to get good grades, become fluent in arabic or as close as i can get, and to make friends with UAE locals to help me. thank you

well I'm not from UAE I'm close to it tho i think you can wear thobe with out any problem many foreigners here wear them ^^ good luck with ur studies if u need help let me know!  :D

Dubai is a global village! Its a culture hub of all sort people. It doesn't matter if you wear a Thobe, Jeans, Bermuda or a skirt! It is not like Afghanistan!
