If I am in all regular classes and have a's, will i be able to get into a good college? ?

I'm a sophmore in high school and i am in only one AP class. If I drop it, and get A's in all my classes, will I still be able to get into a good college? (I live in tx)

  3. Top 10% in Texas might still be alive when you graduate. Hard to know...

    But all A's is hard to beat, so keep up the great work!


  4. You will have no problem. Unless, your definition of good means only ivy league, you will be all set.  

  5. No - GPA isn't the only qualifier for a good college.  I assume you mean Ivy League as in "Good college?"

    TX is rated in the bottom 10 states for public education.  Although you didn't specify if you attend a private school or a prep school in Texas.

    You could get all A's and take basic classes, Woodshop ..etc.   Don't focus so much on just getting A's.  Take classes that will challenge your thinking - work hard on your projects and get involved in the community.

    Get good scores on your SAT - and you'll have your pick of colleges.
