I will arrive airport about 2am for local time. I never been to BKK and I don't know Thai language. As I'm a girl, I'm afriad of taking taxi at midnight. That's why I decided to stay in airport until my friend pick me up.

  1. why wait at the airport?  If BKK is your final destination- hop in a cab and go to your hotel... No need to wait until morning to go to your hotel.  I had to wait overnight at the airport in Taiwan once to catch a flight home- worst thing I can recall.

  2. Yeah, you can pull up some floor and sleep if you want.  Keep your bags close so no one steals them. There is a left luggage office where you an stash your gear if you want, you do pay for that service.

When I fly into Bangkok it is on NWA and just after midnight.  I take a taxi into town to a hotel.  The taxi ride is around 30 - 40 minutes depending on traffic (usually not too much until you reach Bangkok.)

If you are only flying out to another city in Thailand, for your return spend the last night in Bangkok and from there go to the airport.  That way you won't have to worry about connecting flights breaking down or canceling out.  A last night in Bangkok will give you another chance to do some shopping and and perhaps an evening dinner cruise.

    Good luck.

  3. You betcha!

  4. Sure you can.  Grab a few benchs and go to sleep for a few hours.  It's done all the time.

  5. Sure, there's plenty of all night stuff there. You can do my favorite thing and grab a beer and snacks from the 7-11 and pop a movie into your laptop. When leaving Thailand, make sure you go through the intenational boarding area after checking in. There are lots of nices shops and cafes.

If you want sleep, I'd recommend the airport Novotel. They have a shuttle van that takes you right to it. A bit pricey, but worth if if you need the zzzz's and a shower.

It might be possible to book half a day send them a message on there website below. You probably should book ahead.

Room rate includes a free transfer from Suvarnabhumi Airport Free WIFI and breakfast. In order to benefit of the service, guests are required to wait at Exit Door 6 (inside arrivals) and look for the Green Queen's Garden Resort sign (staff is there 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week).  In the morning you can catch the shuttle back to the Airport.

At the airport there is a baggage check on the first floor near the tourist police I think exit H. You can check a bag for 24 hour for 300 baht(if that helps). If you go up to the arrival hall fourth floor Near entrance G  (right side as your looking at the airport from outside) there's a bunch of seats where people sack out.  It near the day rooms that they rent for 2000 baht for 4 hours.
