I don't know if this matters but the average cost of gas where I live is about $4.10 and I estimated my car does about 25 mpg

  1. Just fill-up on your own money before the trip, and whatever you spend filling it back up after the trip, split it evenly amongst yourselves.

  2. figure the total cost...the number of people and divide the number....40$ 4 people...40/4....10 dollars each....pay up suckas...

  3. just wing it

  4. Divide the round trip mileage by 25 mpg. Multiply that number by the cost of $4.10 per gallon

    Example: 200 miles divided by 25 = 8 gallons of gas x $4.10= $32.80 divided by 4 = $8.20 per person.

  5. it depends how much you spend and with how many people you take to the trip
