  1. If you mean professional liability insurance, premiums are less costly for nurse practitioners than for physicians.  

    Like someone else noted, if you are employed, it is likely that your employer will cover the premiums for your insurance.

    IF you mean insurance reimbursements, yes, insurance reimbursements to nurse practitioners are dwindling because insurance companies are paying less and less to professional practitioners.

It matters who and where you work.  If you work for yourself, you will have to have insurance.  If you work under a doctor, they can cover you under theirs.  If you work for a hospital, some require you to get your own, some you can be covered under a physician's.  Be sure to check about insurance when looking for a job.
