Or am I risking the heartbreak of losing another baby. Is it possible to carry a baby full term after a misscarriage. They dont know why I had the misscarriage but it has been at has been almost 6 months since my D&C and my huisband and I are ready to try again. I am just scared of going through another misscarriage. Any advice? Have you had a successful pregnancy after a misscarriage?

  1. I haven't personally had a miscarriage, but my mother had 6 children and 2 miscarriages. One was after her first child and the second was after her third child. Unless you have a medical problem there is no reason you shouldn't be able to have a child.

  2. Lots of women miscarry and go on to have other children.  If you're under 35, your chances are great that you will have a healthy pregnancy.  Just be sure to start taking prenatals or a multi-vitamin now and stay aways from things that are unhealthy.

If your over 35, there's a risk of it happening again but by staying healthy and taking vitamins before you conceive, you lessen the risk.

I'm over 35 and lost a baby this year.  The genetic testing stated she was 100% normal so we don't know what happen to her.  The doctor told me I had a 2% chance of that happening again but because of me age, I could miscarriage a baby due to chromosome reasons.  We want another baby so we're currently trying again.

  3. You can definitely carry the baby full term.

My mom miscarried between me and my sister.  She carried my sister to full term with no problems.  One of my aunts did the same thing.

Don't worry.  When you conceive again see your ob/gyn regularly and they'll keep you informed on the well-being of your baby.

There are support groups on http://www.babycenter.com, I think, for women who have miscarried.  I'm sure they all have asked similar questions.

  4. yes u will be able to you shouldn't be worried about having another one keep the good vibes around you going. The doctors say you can have a miscarriage and then have a healthy pregnancy the next time around but if you have 3 or more talk with your doctor because there are things you can do to prevent them in the future.

  5. it is possible to carry a baby full term after having a miscarriage, however, a woman who has had a miscarriage before is more likely to have another. Im not saying more likely to have a miscarriage than to carry full term though. you should talk it over with your doctor
