  1. This depends on the make of player because it might be region hackable (i.e change the region to play dvd's from another part of the world) if you have a cheap or mid ranged priced player check out the possibilities at www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/multiregion. If it is a more expensive machine i.e sony, panasonic, philips etc it might be more complicated.

  2. No, you'd need a Region 1 DVD player for US movies.

    The UK is Region 2.

  3. sure why wouldn't they.

  4. depends on what region your dvd player accepts

  5. if they are Region 1 DVD's - NO

  6. probably not!

  7. it's to do with regions each part of the world has it's own.

you need to play it in a multi region dvd player or in a pc and change the region using the pc's interface however you can only change it so many times.

This is to help stop p****y

  8. Yeah they would , why not ??

  9. Only if your DVD player has been hacked to be region free. They all can, if you know how...

  10. I just moved from the US to the UK and out of my daughters 45 DVD's only 4 of them worked and it was the super cheap kids cartoon ones. So no I do not think so the regions are protected.

Sometimes though you can play them on your XBOX 360 or if you buy a region free DVD player.

  11. no

    usa region 1

    europe region 2

would only work if they are multi region discs

  12. They normally wont, but if you check the side labels, and see what type of players they work in, then it will tell you.

  13. Unless you have a region-free DVD player, then no. But if you had a region-free DVD player, odds are you wouldn't be asking this, so the answer is just flat-out no.
