  1. no no no

  2. Short answer, no.

Only the 60 & 80gb are reverse compatible (the 80 gb only partially compatible due to an emulator taking the place of emotion engine).

  3. Most PS2 and PSOne games are playable on the PS3, but not all. Some can run but have problems. Here's a list to check: http://www.ps3comp.com/view.asp

  4. To put it out simply, No

Only the discontinued 60 and 80 GB can play PS2 games, you might be able to find some on Ebay or Amazon, but I wouldn't recommend it

And to eliminate confusion, the new 80 GB "Core" model that's going to be released this fall CAN'T play PS2 games; it's basically the 40 GB with a bigger hard drive

  5. nope, only the 60 and 80 can, and even thought they were discontinued at one point, sony is going to start producing the 80 gb version again. Rejoice playstation fanboys everywhere!!!!! release your inner geekdom... i know i would! if i didnt already have one =D

  6. no but you should wait till the 80gb to come out with will be the same price as the 40gb right now

  7. some ps3s can play old PS2 games but most cant...this is cause most of them have only blueray disk drives n the PS2 games r not blueray disks
