Hi all

if I bought an HDTV (and maybe a dvd player) from Canada and decided to ship them to Saudi Arabia , will it work ? how can you be sure 100% ?

  4. Doubtful ... Canada uses the NTSC broadcast standard. Saudi Arabia uses SECAM in fact they use a modified SECAM called MESECAM

    The types of signals are incompatible with each other although there are converters available that you can get to change from one format the the other.

    The monitor portion is the same so if you are buying only the monitor NO problem. the problem is the TV tuner. Also make sure that it can handle 220 volt 50 cycle electrical power.
