If I bought and won a huge amount on Euromillions lottery whilst in the UK?

Could I have the payment in euros or have to accept sterling? Is there a law whereby you HAVE to accept sterling??

  1. Hey take either one.  Why look a gift horse in the mouth.  I am sure the Bank of London could hook you up with rupees if you wanted.


  2. i think if you buy the euromillion in spain then you will get your winning in spain in euro's. if you buy it in uk then you will get ur winnings in uk and it will be in british pounds. you can only claim your winnings in the country you bought the ticket from. and they will pay you in their country money. i use excel to pick 5 number set. how do u pick your numbers

  6. That's a good question. I think that, because it's syndicated by the National Lottery, you'd automatically be paid in Sterling. I'm sure you could ask for it Euros, seeing as it's an inter-continental lottery, however.
