  1. yes, you have to pay custom charges at airport.

    Charges depends on quality and custom rules and regulations.


  2. A passenger is allowed to bring in goods upto a value of rs.25000/- without paying duty provided he can prove that it is for personal use. So if its stuff like ipod, digicam etc, dont worry you wont be bothered. Also you can bring in 1 laptop per passenger - no questions asked ( this is not part of the 25000 limit). Wear the watch, put the camera in a pouch and flat pack the packaging into your suitcase - ideally dont get packaging. If the value is under 25000/- keep bills to prove it. if all else fails ' saab chai paani'
