If I buy a GPS Navigation system in the U.S., can I easily load it with maps of countries in Europe too?

Does a GPS Navigation system loaded with U.S. maps function in Europe too, if I load the maps of the countries I am staying in? Where can I find the software download?

Yes, most brands of GPS can be loaded with European maps. They are what Europeans use when they are at home.

You just have to make sure that you are buying the correct maps for your model.

Usually many GPS systems come with software built in so when you plug it into your computer, you can purchase and download additional plug-ins to add on out of country maps and such. I personally have a tom-tom GPS.
