If I buy a T-Vo at a garage sale for Direct TV will it work?

I have Direct TV, is there anything I need to get to make it work. I have not bought it yet and I don't want to waste money

it will not because t-vo is a different company than direct tv but if you want the t-vo capablilty buy the DVR from direct tv which will allow you to record shows and wach them later

If it says DirecTV on it and you have DirecTV it will work. But you still have to activate it, you have to call them up for instructions.
