  1. It should get NONE since it's not a compressed signal....unless you use bad HDMI cables.

    Or Component Cables....


  2. I think you are referring to region coding, and yes, blu-ray supports it. I believe there are 3 main regions, and any legally purchased movie purchased in one region will not play in a player coded for another region.
