  1. Check with your local DMV.  Some states have different laws.  In LA, there are inspection stickers...just across the stateline, AR, we don't have inspection stickers period.

It's better to be safe than sorry!

  2. Yes, You need to have the vehicle inspected, the police can tell if you dont just by running your plate.

  3. I'm not sure about Massachusetts, but here in Maine, as long as the car has a valid inspection sticker you don't have to get it inspected again. You will have to get it registered in your name, and you'll need to buy auto insurance in order to get it registered--proof of insurance is required to register a vehicle. You should check the laws about motor vehicle registration and inspection in your state; your state government's website should have this information available through a quick search.

  4. I think MASS is a state that required a safety inspection after the change of an owner (registering the car tag in a new name)

  5. YES, if U don't & get pulled over they can cite U & you'll get a  surcharge on your insurance & have 2 pay a fine. It's happened 2 me more than once !

  6. NOPE, i just bought a car with a valid inspection sticker too, and you dont have to get it inspected again untill it expires. THx, hope i helped, please vote as best answer.
