If I buy a new SeaDoo in the United States will I lose my warranty?

My parents have a property in the USA and I wish to buy a SeaDoo but SeaDoo states that if a Canadian buys a SeaDoo in the USA, they will void the warranty on both sides of the border. As a result, my US SeaDoo dealer informs me that I should buy another brand but I want a SeaDoo.

  1. They will void your warranty, and with our dollar being so strong why buy in the US??  Also when you return to Canada with it you are going to have to pay PST at the rate your province charges, and GST if the goods aren't in the NAFTA freetrade agreement.
