If I buy a tv pc tuner can I make my tv a monitor and record tv?

I use basic wall cable and my tv only has componet and 1 s video card port and I run xp media center but my computer does not have the port yet

Yes, you would connect the wires into the TV Tuner card and it will record for you. You can set up schedules and whatnot, kinda of like a Tivo. Usually the cards will ship with composite and s-video, but not support component.

Yes i have one but buy a gamebridge more cheap only 20$ a lot better quality as well go for it(buy the regular. And gamebridge is ran by usb.
