If I buy skype credit and I want to call someone in China do I need to buy another phone or use my comp mic?

I am thinking of purchasing 10 dollars in skype credit but am not sure if I will need to buy another phone or can I just use a microphone? can i call another person on there cell phone or home phone with skype? is it the connection and voice clear? thanks.

As far as Skype is concerned, you can talk to anyone around the world for free if you are talking PC-to-PC and Skype-to-Skype.  

Yes, you will need a computer headset, preferably with a built-in microphone.  A USB headset is genrally the best, but any headset and microphone can work.  I recently purchased a Plantronics wireless headset that works with Skype on my PC.  Wireless headsets are great if you don't want to be teathered to your PC by a cord...

Yes, once you have paid your Skype credits, you can call from PC-to-telephone.... anywhere in the world.  You can call to landlines or mobiles from Skype.

If you don't want to wear a headset, you can get Skype phone USB adapters that plug into your PC USB port.  Then, plug your regular telephone into the Skype adapter.

If you don't want to have your PC turned on all the time for making Skype calls, then you can also get Skype adapters that plug directly into your Internet Router.  Then your phone plugs into the adapter.  No need to have your PC turned on.  Some adapters come with Skype cordless phones, too.

Skype has recently upgraded their MS Windows softphone software to version 3.8.  This newest version of Skype has much improved voice quality over the older versions.

As long as you have a good highspeed Internet connection, you shouldn't have any problems making good quality phone calls over Skype.  A good quality headset with built-in microphone makes it even better.

I have used Skye myself for years.

Don't buy skype, it's not that cheap, i know a website which is very cheap than skype, and the good part is that they give you a local number and you can call them anytime without entering any pin code, and if you recommend this website to someone you'll get free cradit.
