The neighbor's huge trees block the lowest Satelites I need for DirecTV HD signals in the southern/western sky

  1. NO! Look it all depends on which guy comes out to scope out where he can put it. Some fo them are really dumb, im sorry to say. My house has alot of trees in my backyard, and i wanted it in the back. The guy came and he said, "sorry too many trees, i need to put it in ur front yard"

i was pissed becasue i didnt want the world to see it on a pole. Two days later i call another one, he gets his little machine out that locates where to put it, and h**l, he put it right dab in the center off all the trees and said "here we go, you wont have a problem" heck i could barely see the sky, yet it still worked perfectly.

It all depends on the guy, some arent very smart...again, sad to say.

  2. Here is how it works. DirecTV's main satellite is in Texas. So if you are in CA you need a clear view of the SE sky. If you are in Maine the SW sky, and so on. Dish Network has more than one main satellite so you have more options for direction and placement. Legally you have 3 days before your contract becomes legally binding so it can't hurt to try!
