  1. ok hold the ball in front of you.. then bend down a little... then make a fist and like put your thumb in it... then hit it on your wrist... im sorry its not in details.. but i tried my best.

  2. HERE I WON'NT TEACH U HOW YO SERVE... CONTINUE YOUR WAY TO SERVE..

IN ORDER TO HAVE A GOOD SERVE... TRY SOME GYM EXCERCISE ... CONCENTRATE MORE ON UR HAND....MAKE IT MORE STRENGHT N I BELIEVE U WILL SERVE IT WELL...

TRY MY WAY,,, U WILL SUCEED

    GOOD LUCK..

  3. I played volleyball during p.e at my school and I couldn't serve because I was nervous. I usually only do sports well if it's for fun and nobody is counting on you. So just play volleyball with your family or friends for fun and this really takes the load and pressur off your back.

If you don't know how to serve, watch someone who can serve and move your arm in that movement without the volleyball first. =D GOODY LUCKY TO YOU!!!

  4. One of the other answers says to hit it with your hand in a fist.  That is POO!! Never serve the ball if u are serving over hand with a fist.  U dont have any control.  Use an open hand and find a wall that has nothing on it and toss the ball right above the shoulder that u hit the ball with a couple of times to get the toss down. Then u need to get the hit down so , usint eh same toss, hit the ball against the wall with an OPEN hand.  Hit it when ur arm is straight.

  5. If you cant serve the upper arm serve, try to change it to underarm serve by hitting it from under else if you want to continue with the upper arm serve, just try hitting the ball out of the court in your style n then after some practice try hitting the ball on the top to get the inclination with the same practice technique, the same force. Then you can practice rolling the ball n then the placement control as you go on into more practice.

  6. Just keep trying. The most important thing you can do is make sure you have a good solid contact point. Keep your wrist solid. Don't give you at all....volleyball is a great sport and a ton of fun.

  7. I am NOT the best at serving but one of my friends has a volleyball net i practice serving and i have gotten a lot better at it too, just keep practicing or ask a volleyball coach for some tips on how to serve

  8. me niether i can't serve on the underhand serve but what i did is hit it against the wall or practic with family friend or let them help you ask coach but what i mostly did was practic with my family and my bro taught me how to do it good luck

  9. are you serveing over hand or under hand???

  10. If someone has already showed you the actual technique, girl you just gotta practice, practice, practice.  Anytime you get a chance just go out in the yard and practice.  That is the thing with sports (or really just about anything) just keep practicing and you will see results.  You may not get it perfect but you will get better.

  11. Practice serving against a wall and keep practicing.'

  12. Y is it always girls answer to volleyball im a california dude and love volleyball...oh and remember to wait till the ball stops in midair not going up not going down just completly stops...and also i use flat hand just underneth ur palm(wrist) it helps me and might for you

  13. first of all i'd practice by making sure you know the right technique.............. for me my coach is having us try open hand ............ i read a really good description of how to do it somewhere............ but you hold the ball with your left hand (arm straight) but move your hand so that it is in front of your right shoulder..... so your holding the ball in front of your right shoulder but in your left hand. then you want to toss the ball in the air.... so that it is going straight up from where your left hand was but not so high that its out of control. it should be just out of your reach  right hand in the air. once you get the throw down... you want to make sure your hitting the ball witht he cushiony part of your hand..... not the palm or your fingers...... but that cushiony part. also make sure you are hitting the ball at the bottom (not directly at the bottom but if you were to hold the ball where the brand name is looking at you and is in the middle, under that brand name is where you should hit it). once you can get the hitting and throws down make sure you practice stepping through. how you do this is by putting all your weight on your right foot (which is behind your left) throwing the ball and as soon as you make contact you should sort of feel the weight move to your left foot and then land on your right foot........ but make sure you watch the line. once you can walk through, hit, and toss the ball you've got the right technique down.

second of all you need to have enough power. make sure your building that muscle by doing negative push ups, push ups, and other this to build your upper arms. also remember to follow through that gives your hit more power and to try to hit it hard (but controlled).

thrid of all you can use closed fist if neccessary if you don't have enough power..... but as the other pple said.....its out of control. try to use open hand.

    i hope that helped :)

  14. First you have to work on your toss. Place a piece of paper just in front of your feet and keep tossing the ball straight up and making it land in the same spot til you can do it without the piece of paper.

The toss can be the difference between a missed serve and an ace.

Second, place a chair or something of that size on the other side of the court. Serve from about the ten foot line and keep hitting the target til you get good at it. Then back up 5 feet, then 5 more, and so on.

You'll be serving well in no time. =D

Oh... and you CAN serve with your fist, I used to do it when I broke my wrist, but it's easier with an open hand.

  15. DO NOT HIT IT WITH YOUR FIST! Like stated above, you have absolutely no control over where the ball will go, and most times it will be hard but not a very nice serve. That's how I originally learned to serve, and I serve so much better now that I use an open palm.

But you can use a wall and just practice hitting it against the wall so that it will come back to you. Try to throw it high enough so that you hit it on your 'heel' of your hand when you have you are like perfectly straight. And throw it up a little bit in front of you, but not too far or it will go down into the net.

Other than that, and the other ideas from everyone else, you may just need to practice more at it, and maybe have someone who can serve well, like a coach, help you more. It really helps to see somehting first hand!

  16. i know this b/c im a volleyball player first u take your right hand and then u put it 2  youre right side toss the ball up and put your hand the straghtest it can go real fast then hit it as hard as u can while stepping with the left foot if your left handed do the oppisite

  17. The best way to learn to serve a volleyball is to practice your toss. 90% of the time the thing that will make you miss your serve is your toss. If you're a righty, stand with your left foot infront and your right foot back with your left arm extended infront of you holding the ball. Practice lightly tossing the ball up about two feet over your head. The object is to get the ball to land to the right side of your left foot (I like putting a target on the floor where I want the ball to land) Do this until you get 15 good tosses, then try it with a swing. If you still have trouble, go back to your toss until you get 15 more good tosses. Don't worry, I used to have the same problem you did, but I practiced, practiced, practiced, and now my serve is the best on my team. Good Luck!!!!!!!!
