  1. No, but you should be able to soon. It's a very different experience with skates on a slippery surface

  2. im totally in the same position as u

ive been working on my double loop for a while now

i hcan land it off ice even with my skates on but once i get on the ice i get stuck

so i guess the answer to your question is no, landing them off ice is not the same as on ice

  3. Off ice is the first steps. But being on ice is completely different. You should ask your coach to put you on a harness and then it will help you with the jump and so your landing doesn't hurt so much.

  4. Off ice jumping will help you on ice but it does not necessarily mean that you will be able to do it on the ice.

For example some skaters can do as high as a triple axel on the ground but don't have a chance at all to do it on ice.

Why? well mostly because you are trying to jump and land off a tiny blade, going in with speed can be hard for some people, and on the ice you may make more mistakes like bending your back forwards.
