  1. First off the common cards you are talking about that change the creature into another color require the creature to be in play to target it. There are some cards though that change the color of a 'spell' which will change it while it is being casted but its mana cost will still be the same. There are some white cards that can make all spells you play require white mana instead of their other mana costs but thats another thing... Hope this helps!

  2. No it does not change the color of mana required for casting it. The only card that I know of that changes of all cards not in play to colorless and mana can be tapped as though it were mana of any color for the rest of the game is " Mycosynth Lattice" (Darksteel). It is an Artifact for 6 colorless mana. There is also a white sorcery that changes all symbols to white until end of turn for 1 colorless and 1 white mana called " False dawn"(Apocalypse). That would probably be your best bet. I only have one so I am not sure how hard it is to find one. Also throw in a couple of " Lotus Blooms" or " Lotus Veils" I Hope tHis Has been Helpful.

  3. No, not unless it's Celestial Dawn, but that's the only case.  Just changing it to white won't do anything unless it says to switch the mana.

  4. No, in order for those cards to target the creature to change the creature color the creature must be in play.

  5. HI HONEY Josh! Thanks for the 2 points! *Huggles*
