I'm trying to save on power consumption. So basically, given a choice, is it better to charge through the PC's USB, or direct to the wall power socket?

  1. I don't think the PC is consuming more energy to charge those items than it would if you just left it on without charging, but I do know that it takes a lot longer to charge things on the PC than if you plugged into the wall.  Although, obviously if you would have turned your PC off during that time, it is consuming more energy to leave it on for charging.  I hope that made sense.
