  1. Shouldn't be a problem unless you are flying in and then you will need a passport.  Canada Customs are pretty good and if travelling by car sometimes don't ask to see ID depending on your Port of Entry.  Have fun.

  2. Depends on how you enter Canada. You are required to hold a valid passport if you travel by AIR. You don't need a paspport when traveling by "LAND or SEA" (TILL JUNE 2009) You need a government issued photo ID such as a driver's license and birth certificate.

  3. hello the answer is yes. simply one can not leave or enter the us without a passport. the good news is that the passport folks are pretty quick in renewals and new passports. if you are bringing beer back the limit is 24 bottles per person. hard liquor the rules are different. i love Canada so enjoy

  4. pleas be aware of the new Homeland security law just passed. It required for BOTH land and air travel to carry a US passport to leave and reenter USA, or else you'll be stuck at the border!

    so it's passport too!

  5. Yes a passport or proof of citizenship may be sufficient, you may stay up to 180 days without a Visa as well

  6. I believe as of late that, you need a passport to leave the USA. and you need one to re-enter as well.  Not sure though.

  7. If you enter via air (fly to an airport in Canada from an airport in the US) you will need a passport.

If you drive across the border, you need a government issued photo ID and proof of citizenship.

Assuming you are a US Citizen.
