  1. im pretty sure that's about one lb. of fat per week

and that is a perfectly fine amount to lose in a week, just do it via exercise, unless you eat a whole lot more than you should.

  2. You've probably lost a bit, but not much. That's because calories have nothing to do with weight loss or gain, they are actually the energy you consume from food. For example, if you ate nothing but vegetables for a day, but still had 2,000 calories, you would still lose weight. Vegetables have virtually no fat in them, and the key to losing weight is to have a low fat diet. Low calorie diets (in my opinion) don't really work, as you are left feeling sluggish, tired, as you aren'tot getting enough energy.

  3. TOO MUCH!! That is NOT a healthy way to lose weight!!!

  4. 500 calories is way too low. The problem is, if you eat such a restricted amount of calories, your body goes into "starvation" mode, whereby it holds onto any calories you put into it. This is a left over from our ancestors who were never sure when or where there next meal was.Your metabolism slows and you burn calories less effectively. It actually takes longer to lose weight if you eat this way (and you will feel terrible in the process!) . Anything you lose will be water rather than fat. Realistically, you can lose about 3-4 pounda max safely in a week. Restricting your calorie intake to about 1300-1500 should do the trick. Anything below 1000 and you're just slowing your body down.

I know all of this because 3 years ago i used to be a size 18. I went to weight watchers (where the calorie intake restrictions are similar to those I mentioned above) and I am now a size 8. I was losing 3-4 pounds a week. it took me a year to lose 3 stone and it has stayed off ever since.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  5. to loose 1 pound = you have to burn 3,500 calories

    7 x 500 = 3,500 = 1 pound

    so that's precisely 1 pound a week

  6. 500 calories or less is not enough your lose weight but make yourself at the same time light headed you could even faint your not ding your organs much good doing that as well once you've lost the weight and start to eat normal again your just pile it all back on just eat healthy and exercise is the best way

  7. That'll equal 1 - 2 pounds. I would NOT suggest you cut down that much on your food, though. The best way to do it is to cut down 250 calories and exercise the equivalent of 250 calories more.

  8. 500 less calories seems to be a good solution to your problems and you should lose between 1 or 2 lbs per week but you do not say how much is your normal calorie intake per day.

If you consume 3000 calories per day you will not lose weight if you only have 2500 calories per day you will only slow down the weight gain

    Agree with  dana g

not badly worded but people seem to home in on the 500 and do not see the 'less'

  9. Three steps that have really helped me are dieting, exercising, and the correct weight loss supplement for losing weight. Focus on those three things and you will lose weight considerably. I exercise 30 mins a day along with taking Proactol, a natural weight loss supplement that I saved money on at theweightlossplace.com

Good luck and stay focused = )
