Nope, because they get compressed and you lose a lot of quality.

No, you'd then have standard DVD quality...no better.  

At least you wouldn't lose any quality, like if you made a DVD from a VCR or Camcorder tape.

I did it - and the quality is as good as regular DVD, but not NEARLY as good as the original HD files (which I store on my PS3 and play from there).
