  2. If you are already in the site, you are already vulnerable to the virus (if there is one).  Right clicking your mouse and saving picture will not give you a virus.  

  3. It is quite possible if the image has an embedded viral script. The best thing to do would be running the image through a place like http://www.virustotal.com before placing it on your computer. Or use a good anti-virus software with a reliable Anti-Virus 'Guard' for real time protection.

    Just verify the extension as this is what is dangerous. If it has a x*x.exe. Don't touch it.

    Otherwise, it should be safe and make sure that it doesn't have a xxxx.dll extension either.
