If I didnt finalize a mini dvd-r on my camcorder, could I finalize it on another device like a dvd recorder?

I have a Panasonic camcorder, and when I try to finalize it, it asks me to plug in AC adaptor which I don't have.

  1. The last time I checked, the camcorder that recorded the video needs to finalize the disc - if it needs to be finalized.

    If you don't have the AC adaptor, how do you  recharge the camcorder battery?
