If I died, what weather conditions would take longest for my limp body to start to significantly decompose?

dry air, humid air, hot weather, cold, etc etc etc.

also, with the weather that takes longest for my body to begin decomposition, just how long will that be? I'm a small boy (4,11" 72 pounds or so)- would that factor make my body decompose faster or slow it down? thank you for your answer.

  1. Probably dry freezing conditions.

Why do you ask? Hopefully you're not planning on being the next Ötzi the Iceman.

  2. First off, I hope you are not planning on killing yourself. Like anything else, if it is frozen it will last longer.  Hot, humid weather would cause it to decompose faster.

  3. Ummm an odd question for a boy? My question would be why are you asking?

Hotter and dryer the quicker, the opposite for slower.  Cold enough and you wont decompose and just freeze

  4. freezing stops decomp but once thawed decomp is eponential

  5. Frozen in ice.

  6. ...You know, I would answer this question, but something deep within me wont let me.

Are you a rapist planning on hurting and then killing a small boy and wondering about getting rid of the body?

Or are you a necrophiliac planning on killing someone for dead s*x?

I know this sounds like a sarcastic question, but it isn't. I'm dead serious.

  7. HA HA HA HA!!!!  Hot and humid weather would cause a rapid decomposition because it would provide a perfect environment for bacteria.  These bacteria cannot survive outside a temperature range of about 40-150 degrees Fahrenheit.  Since there is no place I know hotter than 150 degrees, I believe you could last the longest in dry air at a temperature below 40 degrees.  Also, I would assume that a small frame would just mean less overall time to fully decompose.

  8. very cold, dry weather would cause it to decompose slowest.  In fact if the weather stays below freezing, it doesn't matter how dry or humid it is because your body will never decompose.

  9. Ditto what Syrinxie said.  That's just morbid and disturbing.  The question sounds like it came from an adult...

Don't know whether to report this one or not...
