I know you can ride a moped up to 50cc or a motorcycle up to 125cc but can't find any info on a 125cc scooter. Also, if you happen to know, how much can a 125cc scooter cost in the UK new or secondhand?

  1. dont buy a vespa, there to easy to steal

  2. A sooter is no different it's still the same engine size that you are limited to.

Prices not sure, check this site..

  3. If you are 16 you can ride a moped which is anything up to 50cc and if you are 17 or over you can ride a scooter or bike up to 125cc. The CBT is valid for 2 years. You can pick up a second hand scooter in rideable condition for around £500 can get cheaper ones and dearer ones. But with everything you get what you pay for! Would advise going for a new one as you get warranty and breakdown assistance etc included but depends what you can afford. CBT courses usually cost around £100 with bike hire and kit hire included.

  4. You can ride any 125cc machine (not exceeding 12.2hp if manufactured after 1.1.1982) on L plates at 17 provided you hold a provisional licence and have completed a CBT course

  5. If you are 17 years of age or older, passing your CBT will allow you to ride ANY powered wheeler, up to 125cc.  Whether is a trials bike, sports bike, scooter, custom bike or whatever, does not matter.

A scooter is just a STYLE of powered two wheeler - nothing more.

Prices?  Anything from £100 for a tatty, old secondhand one, up to £5,000 for a mint condition, collectible classic.

  6. if your 16 no older yes not sure on prices sorry
