  1. yes

  2. You can have any undergraduate degree to be a doctor. Depending on what kind of doctor you want to be you have to make sure you take all the pre-requisites regardless whether or not they're part of your degree.

  3. A doctor of what? I guess you mean a medical doctor, so I'll answer based on that.

To be a medical practitioner, you need to study medicine at university, typically about 5-6 years full time, on a course called something like "MBBS", "MB ChB", etc., which stand for "Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery".

To be able to study medicine, each university will have their own entrance standards, and are usually given in 'A' level grades, eg AAB (two A's and a B) and they will be looking for 'A' level sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics.

I doubt very much that a BTEC in science alone will get you onto a Medicine degree course - you can try and ask, but I very much doubt it.

I think your best bet is to apply to study for the 'A' levels shown above and take it from there.

Studying to be a doctor will take a lot of effort, though, so be sure this is what you want to do and have the commitment to do it.

    Good luck!!

  4. depends on, which type of doctor u want to be, for example, u can't be a medical or surgical doctor in btec but a biochemist, pharmacy, forensics and etc

  5. nope hards any universitys let people in with btec let people in.

  6. i used to do btec science but my school found out that kids that did btec i my school couldn't go to university...the university wanted GCSE's just to prove that they can cope under exams so my school changed a few of the sets to GCSE and now I'm doing double award science but you might be able to get in with btec

  7. You would need to look at individual university's entry requirements for medicine - although usually they require A Levels in Chemistry and at least two other sciences (including Maths) - I have not heard of a med school accepting a BTEC so you would be better advised and certainly have more options if you do A Levels instead.
