I'm applying for a job at a major corporation but I don't who exactly is going to interview me. A cover letter needs to be addressed to someone but I don't know what to put down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

3 ANSWERS

  1. Dear Sir or Madam

    To whom it may concern

  2. If you want to make your cover letter and application really stand out, don't opt for addressing it to a generic office title.  Take five minutes, look up the phone number and give the corporation a call.  All you have to do is ask the operator for the name of the HR director, and use their name. Sometimes, the information is available somewhere on the company website also.

  3. Dear Hiring Manager is one option. If it is a large company they are likely to have a Human Resource Manager.
