I can only wear contacts during the week. On the weekends I'm suppose to wear glasses but I don't like them. Will my eyes get worse from straining?

  1. You may develop headaches because of the eye strain.  Stop being vain about your looks and wear the glasses.

  2. Whenever you aren't wearing contacts, you should wear your glasses. One pet peeve of mine is when people don't correct their vision properly when they need to and they go around squinting simply because they hate their glasses. Not everyone likes to wear glasses,I understand that. You,for that reason, got contacts, and that's fine, that's the way to go.If you don't like the glasses you have now,why not get some you might like that others will like on you, too?Just a thought!

  3. yeah the dude above me is right

just wear them.girls with glasses are generally cute^^

  4. Your eyes will not get better or worse if you choose not to wear your eyeglasses.  You may experience eyestrain and headaches, but that is the worst of it.

I do not like wearing glasses either.  I wear a contact lens in my left eye and my right eye is normal.  I usually give my eye a contact lens rest day once a week on a day of my choosing.  I typically only wear my eyeglasses at home as needed -e.g. watching TV.  I like being able to see the screen clearly with both eyes.

  5. Compared to contacts, glasses can warp our vision and can be uncomfortable. People must meet driving requirements of 20/40. Otherwise most liability can fall upon them. Glasses are good in that we can put them on for driving and leave them off when not needed.

We control our staring and squinting and straining. Blurry vision does not cause us to squint, strain, and stare. We choose to do that in response to blur thinking that it will improve our vision. Squinting very temporarily gives us slight clarity but usually worsens our vision dramatically.

If we unlearn the incorrect vision habits, reintegrate the correct vision behaviors, and undo the damage of blur and artificial corrections, we can have natural perfect eyesight with out the crutches of artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, surgery). It's interesting, when we start relearning to see clearly and naturally, our eyes start to reject contacts as foreign objects.
