Question:

If I dont have a meet roasting rack, what can I used in place of that?

Any creative ideas? I will be cooking pork loin chops in the oven... the recipe calls for the liquid to not touch the meat while cooking... help!

  1. I uses stalks of celery or thick scilces of onions

You can use a cookie cooling rack, and put that on a baking sheet with sides.  Using another pan wouldn't work, because you want the heat to circulate around the entire pork chop.  Although, I'm not really sure why it's so specific about the meat not touching the liquid:)  If you just turn the chops during cooking (to cook both sides) and make sure the fat is drained off, they should be fine.  The rack is more important for a roast or whole chicken

  3. I always cook my pork chops on broiler pan (it's a 2 piece pan that has slotted top) or just on a foil lined cookie sheet.

  4. use veggies liek thick onion slices or carrots sticks to make racks
