Depends on how large the area of rain of thunderstorm activity is. Most likely yes, but some storms can produce an inch or two of rain in one area and then a couple miles down the road, maybe nothing. But there's a good chance it'll still be raining. Just try looking at the sky the direction you're headed and see if it's dark that way too or not. You could also check a radar online somewhere.
