  1. No, pick it up then ask for a new one. There won't be a waiter there to watch your every move. That would be like wanting the waiter to come by and wipe your mouth if you get something on it.

  2. He may not have noticed it. I would say, pick it up, then call the waiter over and ask for another fork, explaining that you dropped it.

  3. h**l pick it up, wipe it off then use it. No just kidding.  If i dropped a fork, i would pick it up, then tell the waiter i needed another.

  4. I would pick it up I think it would be rude to jus let it sit there on the floor collecting dust...someone no no one should be watching u every minute they do have other customers

  5. Good  Housekeeping's expert Peggy Post says:

When something falls off the table, such as food or a utensil, it's better to leave it there and mention the mishap to your server. Fumbling around the floor is not in keeping with a fine -- and sanitary -- dining experience. A caveat: If the dropped item creates a safety hazard, it should be removed so no one trips on it or is injured by it.

  6. not in my neighborhood, you will never get to eat if you wait

  7. No, you dropped it, you pick it up.  Unless you're a Hilton or a Trump and have someone waiting on you hand and foot.  If you dropped a fork at home, would you wait for someone else to pick it up?

  8. Do whatever you like in most restaurants, but don't pick up the fork at a five star fine dining establishment.
