Question:

If I edit membership, does moderator get notified?

If I am part of a Yahoo! group, and click on "Edit Membership", then add an email using "Add new email", does the group's owner/moderator get notified that member with this <email_addr> has changed to this <new_email_addr> ?

Meaning, if I am a member of a group using a particular email address, can I change that email address, and remain member of the group without the moderator having to know about this email change?

New members to the group need to be approved by the moderator.

  1. Switching to a new email address will be recorded in the "logs" available to moderators. If the moderator checks, the switch will be noticed. If you're thinking of hiding, it won't do you any good. The moderator can ban you no matter which address you are using. Behave yourself, if you want to be a member.

    Good luck!
