  1. Its generally considered pointless to pump more than 10 minutes after the last bit of milk.  

    Some people pump 10, wait 10, pump 10 and then wait an hour, repeat.

    But a baby works best of all.


  2. It'll help.

    When I was breastfeeding my daughter, I had an empty boob too, I called it the retarded boob!!!  I ended up breastfeeding from one side only - the good side.  Did just fine for 2 months like that until she self-weaned herself.  Keep expressing and see if that helps.  Sometimes, your milk will just dry up like mine did.
