If I get Iss (in school suspension) will I still qualify to receive scholarships?

Jeez, I'm freaking out. I cannot believe I actually got iss, if all my hard work is wasted I might pass out, I need scholarships, I need college!

  1. of course you will be able to get a scholarship, even if you got ISS once. because ISS is a lesser type of punishment, doesnt mean you did something bad.


  2. i got in all kinds of trouble at school,

    cutting, fighting, even a pre 9-11 act of cyber terrorism which i did in 2000, but would have been arrested if i had done it a year and a half later, and i still received three scholarships,

    so if you have iss, then talk about it in the interview if its brought up.

    otherwise, just focus on your academic acheivements and pursuits.

  3. Usually not. ISS is not as serious as suspension, or expulsion, and one is usually overlooked.

    It depends on the scholarship though, and what you did to get there. Talk with your guidance counselor about your options and try not to get stuck there again!
