  1. It depends on your school.... I know where I go any grades D or lower in courses classified as freshman/sophomore level you don't have to pay back.

Upper division courses you must have a C or better or you have to pay back for that class. Courses that apply directly to your major "core" of classes are held, for some reason, to a higher standard.

Like I said, your school could be different, though.

  2. Ok, lot of bad information being panned here.

If you fail a class you took out financial aid for, they will not make you pay back financial aid for failing it.  If you borrowed loans you will pay back the money when you withdraw from college, or graduate.. not after you fail a class.  And a D is not failing a class for financial aid purposes.

Now what they can do, is not allow you to use financial aid to re-take that class after having failed it.

  3. Yes. You still took the class, even if you don't pass. You will have to repay them.

Yes, everything. You paid to take the class, you did not pay to get a grade. If you paid to get a grade and didn't pass, PERHAPS you would not have to repay them - but for one, paying for a grade is illegal. You took the class, you pay for the class. I'm sorry.

  4. yes and  it may effect the eligibility of ur finanial aid in the upcoming terms
