  1. You can use 4200 mAH 8.4V or 3000 mAH 7 V Ni-Mh batteries or newest one Li-Po..If you want to make 70+ mph with your rustler vxl you need  8000mah 11.1V Lipo with optional gear box...Full charge battires can go 10-15 min....
