If I get your question ... a criminal justice major will get you a visitor's pass to the lab, maybe.  

CSI is deep into chemistry, physics, math and your employers will not have the time,  money or people to educate new employees into it.  

Best go to your school adviser - get some info on job requirements for the area you want to get into, then match that to the courses and grades you'll need.  Don't forget to get info on whether that category is being hired.  

State and local budgets are always tight and the economy is not good.  So maximize your job options by the courses you choose.
