  2. Most fashion designers either work for themselves or for retail groups - you need to contact the retail group you're interested in designing for and enquire about recruitment. You'll almost certainly find that a degree means very little in the world of fashion, unless you have a lot of experience and connections. If you currently have your own design business and design and make your own lines you can approach boutiques or retail outlets which stock concession ranges.

    Other option is to design and produce your own small ranges of clothing initially, and then look towards selling them in markets such as Spitalfields and Camden if you can. Many fashion designers and artists start similarly. Goldsmiths and LCF students are famous for it.
