If I get a dental crown, will there be any black stains on my gums after the dental surgery? ?

If so will I be able to remove the stains?

If you get a PFM (porcelain fused to metal) crown it is possible your gums will recede with time and the shaddow from the metal part will show.  To fix this problem you can request an all porcelain crown (but you might have to pay a little extra for it).  Just know that crowns won't bleach if you are thinking about bleaching your teeth, you might want to do that before you get your crown depending on the area the crown will be in.  Before you go back to get your crown put on, look at the color carefully before they cement it on.  But if you get the crown with the metal, and you do get the shaddowing, no, there isn't anything you can do to fix it except get another crown (and pay the fee again).  Hope that helps!
