If I get a phone at target and activate it at Verizon will it work?

I have a phone right now with a plan for 2 years, it is not up yet. I am wondering if I got a phone from target that is meant for verizon and brought it to the verizon store, would it work? I want the env2 and it is only 59.99 at Target. It is 25.00 to activate at Verizon

If you already have verizon it won't cost you an activation fee, all they should do is take your phone and change your number over to the other phone

No, you'd have to activate it at Target. The system won't allow us to sell you the phone without either linking it to a current account, or by starting a new account.
