If I get advair for my breathing problems can I get the pump inhaler instead of the disk inhaler? ?

  1. Ok I'm almost positive that the pump inhaler is only used as a rescue inhaler, like when you start wheezing or something. The disk inhaler is what you should be using on a daily basis. Usually it's once or twice a day depending on how your doctor prescribes is.  


  2. Yes you can! just tell your doctor that you want the aerosol HFA Metered dose inhaler instead of the discus. He'll have to specify this on the prescription. The strengths are a little different so do a little research on the one you need before you ask. I think they come in 45/21, 115/21, and 230/21. I would also ask the doctor to prescribe you a spacer to use with it to help it work better for you.
