This is a question my freind wanted to know. She found someone who has a almost adult goose they are selling and was wondering if it would still take to her and stay in her yard.

  1. Well, it depends if it is somewhat tame.  If its tame, like it lets you pet it and get near it without it making a fuss, then it may be possible.  Geese tend to be a little bit ...cranky.  Well atleast the geese ive encountered.  I think your friend should get her own baby goose (gosling) and raise it on her own so it gets used to her, and imprints on her.  Itll take more time, but itll be worth it! good luck

  2. The goose may eventually tolerate her, and even get used to her enough to come to her, but it won't imprint. The bond won't be as strong as someone who, say, raised the goose from birth or a day old.

  3. In terms of imprinting, absolutely not. There are various estimates about imprinting, but none that I am aware of would extend past a week or two after birth.
