  2. no

  3. I think the Italian guy is the best answerer so far, but for info thats easier to understand and from  people who have experienced it visit www.colombianblog.com

I am an american married to a colombian currently in the US and the people at www.colombianblog.com answer all my questions (about everything, culture, food, music, legal stuff ect)

  4. If you get married, you are married. It is valid anywhere on this planet.

You obviously have to have valid documents in the country where you are getting married. Most likely, birth certificate (issued within the last 90 days and validated at embassy in US of the country marrying in). Also any divorce decrees validated also.

Once married, you would submit documents or visa requests to whatever country you are trying to enter.

I married in Philippines. Wife became US citizen after several years. I married in Peru, I got my wife tax number but I have visa in Peru.

hope that helps. just file the documents where you need them.

  5. The embassy or tourist information bureau of the country in which the marriage is to be performed is the best source of information about marriage in that country. Some general information on marriage in a limited number of countries can be obtained from Overseas Citizens Services,

Marriages abroad are subject to the residency requirements of the country in which the marriage is to be performed.

Understand that you must follow the rules of the foreign country, even if they differ from those of the state in which you live. The validity of your marriage in the United States depends on your compliance with these foreign laws.

  6. well considering we know exactly where "here" is the answer is obvious, xD

If you mean in the US, I think it is but you may need to get a marriage license "here"
