  1. it will run from the date the last one runs out regardless when you get it, if your cars off the road and SORN then leave it till aug 1st

  2. it will be for this month so wait until the first of august

  3. If your car is currently subject to SORN, I'd say keep it off road until Friday, 1st. You will miss out on 29 days otherwise. If your car costs £185 per year to tax, you can spend £15 on public transport between now and Friday and still be better off than buying it today.

If you have an existing tax disc that expires tomorrow evening, you HAVE to buy a replacement disc today or tomorrow and it becomes valid from Friday. You have to display the old disc until midnight tomorrow. I usually put the new disc in the disc holder and leave the old disc on the dashboard until the 1st.

  4. Tax is ALWAYS backdated to the start of the month you purchase it in.

  5. depends

if you have current VED (car Tax), that expires at the end of July 2008 then the tax disc will start August 2008 for however long you buy one for.

if you don't have a valid VED, and get one now it will will be deemed to be valid for this month, so you will get one month less 'value' out of it. if you don't have a vaid VED right now you may have to demonstrate the car has been of road up untill now.

  6. It will start from the date your old one had expired.

  7. No it will start on the 1st of the month. I think you can buy them from the 15th of the privous month to start the next as that is what i did.

  8. Starts on the 1st of next month

You can always buy up to 14 days in advance.

  9. it will start from next month
